Activist fights denial of DACA renewal after civil disobedience arrests

A Chicago woman who has been an advocate for the Dream Act and for DACA relief was denied renewal of her DACA application.  After a number of arrests tied to acts of civil disobedience in immigration-related protests, USCIS denied her application for renewal, citing public safety concerns.  AILA member Chuck Roth and NIJC are representing her in a lawsuit filed in the Northern District of Illinois.  The Chicago Tribune has the story here.  NIJC’s press release, complete with a link to the complaint, is here.
