Area non-profit organizations prepare for ICE raids

In light of a recent announcement by ICE that there will be another round of raids, Erie Neighborhood House will be hosting a Know Your Rights presentation on Tuesday, May 31st from 6-7pm in Templeton Hall, 1347 W Erie St. Chicago IL 60642. This is an important time to educate the community about their rights! The presentation includes information about dealing with the police, ICE, and a person’s options if he or she is placed in deportation proceedings.

Visit Erie House’s website at www.eriehouse.org for more information.

Families and community members who witness ICE raids are encouraged to call ICIRR’s Family Support Hotline at (855) 435-7693 and visit www.icirr.org/familysupport for more information on what to do in case of an ICE raid.
